David is Melia’s husband, and the others are their children, Roselia (born in Canada), and Louisa and Mary born in Vermont. As per Louisa’s age, we can presume the family emigrated between 1844 and 1848 to Ferrisburgh. According to the 1900 US Census, the couple had 14 children.
Emily died in Greenfield, Massachusetts, on April 20, 1915. Her obituary indicates the following:
Mrs. Emily Perry, 90 years old, died today in the home of her son, Leonard Street. She was a native of Quebec, Can., and leaves six children, Daniel and Francis Perry, Brattleboro, Vt., Dr. J. C. Perry, Shelburne Falls, E. I. Perry, Greenfield, Mrs. Albert Clement, Cohoes, N. Y., and Mrs. Ivan W. Goodnow, Seattle, Wash. Mrs. Perry made her home here for the past 11 years, but passed the major portion of her life in Shelburne Falls.—Springfield Union, April 21, 1915, p. 17
