Jean-Baptiste Imbleau \u2014 ou John Amblo au Vermont \u2014 est n\u00e9 \u00e0 Trois-Rivi\u00e8res, au Qu\u00e9bec, en 1813. Il fait partie des premiers immigr\u00e9s canadiens-fran\u00e7ais venus \u00e0 Vergennes o\u00f9 il \u00e9pousera d’ailleurs Susan Oak en 1836. D\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e en 1842, elle est inhum\u00e9e dans le Vergennes Burying Ground. Elle est l’une des rares dont la pierre tombale est toujours l\u00e0. John est-il venu \u00e0 Vergennes avec son p\u00e8re qui \u00e9tait veuf? \u00c0 tout le moins, il \u00e9tait accompagn\u00e9 de ses fr\u00e8res et soeurs puisque ces derniers sont pr\u00e9sents aux bapt\u00eames de ses enfants. John est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 en 1901 \u00e0 Vergennes.<\/p>\n
