A map of the British and French settlements in North America, CC BY 2.0, https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/w\/index.php?curid=27806577<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">I had the following information<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Their two youngest daughters, Marie-Anne, 6 1\/2 years, and Marie-Madeleine, 4 1\/2 years, were baptized in L&#8217;Assomption on October 5, 1766. The record states that both were born in Boston.<\/li>\n<li>Later on, on June 9, 1767, two more children, Pierre, 9, and Fran\u00e7oise, 11, were baptized in the same parish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">And here is a new clue<\/span>:<\/p>\n<p>According to G\u00e9n\u00e9alogie Qu\u00e9bec database, further to some additional research on Acadians, Fran\u00e7oise would have been born in Oxford, Massachusetts, on February 15, 1756.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, Fran\u00e7ois&#8217;s son Joseph and his wife Madeleine Dugas (my ancestors) were most likely married in Massachusetts shortly before settling in L&#8217;Assomption.
