Salt Lake City 2015 | Research Trip Journal | Day 1

Salt Lake vol

Salt Lake City, October 23, 2015

For the last few years, this week is like Christmas time to me.

Just flew in yesterday. I am in Salt Lake City until next Sunday. No matter how beautiful the weather is, I will lock myself in the Family History Library until next Saturday 5 pm.

I am participating to the New England Historic Genealogical Society Research trip. Our first meeting is Sunday afternoon.

I am far from being an early bird but thanks to the jetlag I am awake since 4:30 am and I will be at the library at 9 am.  Today, my plan is to work on my timetable for the week to come but I will also look at microfilms that I have been dreaming about for months (you know, the little information that is missing to get the whole picture). So Missouri, Illinois, the tutorship index for Montréal, and California are on my plate for today!

And tonight I am going to be at a hockey game (Utah Grizzlies) with a genealogist friend who is a Boston Bruins fanatic. Good time to talk to her about the Montreal Habs perfect picture since the season started (I hope the Habs win tonight!).

OK, let’s get started, talk to you later!
