From the Archives: Maps? I Love Maps!

These are two maps of Île Jésus from 1911 (nowadays, the island is home to Ville de Laval which results from the amalgamation of all municipalities previously established thereon). On the far right of the first map, we may locate Saint-François-de-Sales Parish, and on the second one, we can see where the Tourvilles lived. You can bet for sure that the large lot occupied by Desale Tourville was Michel Tourville’s land (husband of Catherine Marié), at the time of his death in 1810.
